The Children's Ministry is an exciting place to be at Capstone Church. The vision and purpose of this ministry is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children of all ages in a creative way so that children will understand and respond by receiving Christ into their lives as their personal Savior and Lord. We encourage the children to take the Gospel to their friends and family members as a witness of God's saving power.
Our Infants through five-year-olds have individual classes that are structured and set up just for them in the Sunday service and at 7:00 PM on Thursday nights. Our Pre-school department is called the Promiseland Kids. Our six-year-olds through 12-year-olds are called the Kids of the Kingdom. These children are grouped together for an exciting Children's Church during the morning service on Sundays and the 7:00 PM service on Thursday nights.
On Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. our elementary age boys have Royal Rangers. Royal Rangers is a ministry that reaches across the U.S and in over 65 nations around the world. It motivates boys spiritually through Bible study, memorization, and fun activities such as camp outs. Here at Capstone Church we have dedicated leaders called commanders to provide boys the necessary direction during a weekly outpost meeting. Our outpost has two age groups to allow boys to advance with their peers at an appropriate pace. Ranger Kids includes boys in Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. Discovery Rangers includes boys in third through sixth grades. The mission of Royal Rangers is to reach, teach, and keep boys for Christ! The purpose of the Royal Rangers ministry is to evangelize boys for Christ, develop the total boy for Christ (spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially), and keep boys in church.
On Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. our elementary age girls have Missionettes. The Fivefold Purpose of Missionettes is:
- To win girls to Jesus Christ through love and acceptance;
- To teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded us;
- To provide encouragement, support, and accountability through lasting Christian relationships;
- To provide an environment for girls to develop their gifts and abilities; and
- To acquaint them with the Great Commission of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Capstone Church has two groups of Missionettes. Prims include girls in the first and second grade. Stars include girls in the third through sixth grade.
The first Monday of every month from 4:30pm - 8:30pm, Cici's Pizza at 3401 Altamesa will donate 10% of their receipts to Capstone Children's Ministry if you drop your receipt the bucket.
The second Tuesday of the month , Chick-fil-A at Hulen Mall will donate 10% of all receipts to Capstone Children's Ministry if you tell the cashier you are a Capstone member.
